Stephen Keshi Sacked Despite Win Against Sudan

The Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) has fired Super Eagles Coach, Stephen Keshi from his job as coach of the Super Eagles, despite an impressive win against the Falcons of Sudan yesterday

With this decision, Keshi and his two assistants, Ike Shorounmu and Daniel Amokachi have been asked to proceed on course abroad.

The executive committee of the NFF led by Amaju Pinnick rose from a meeting in the early hours of Thursday, October 16, 2014 at Transcorp Hilton, Abuja.

This firing decision comes after Nigeria’s dismal outing at the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier match against Sudan last week.

The NFF as appointed Shuaibu Amadu, head of the technical committee to lead a consortium of coaches while the hunt for a foreign coach is on. Amadu would be leading the Super Eagles in the rest of the AFCON qualifiers.
