The World Igbo Cultural Day 2014 was
held today at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Ibadan at 12 Noon.
The event which was organised by CEOAFRICA and sponsored by Nigerian Breweries,
witnessed the conferment of chieftaincy titles on deserving personalities.
Igbo groups from all over the
Federation, Germany, US, UK, France and South Africa, and also friends and
well-wishers of Ndigbo graced the event.
The Guest Royal Father of the Occasion is His Royal Majesty, Eze Cletus
Ilomuanya, Chairman South-East Council of Traditional Rulers while the host
royal father is His Imperial Majesty, Oba Samuel Odulana Odugade 1.
Alaafin of Oyo, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi III, is the
royal father of the day.
A popular musician, J. Martins is expected to grace the Occasion.
The event also witness lots of activities such as beauty pageant,
wrestling, masquerade parade, cultural dances among others.
