The Yobe state commissioner of education has announced the closure
of all schools in the state including private and public schools, the decision to shut down the schools was
as a result of the bomb explosion that happened at Government Science
Secondary School, Potiskum.
The announcement was made this morning and according to the
commissioner, it is a move by the government to ensure that more security
measures are put in place to guarantee the safety of students , teachers and
the school environment across the state.
It will be
recalled that the Monday suicide bombing had 48 students losing their lives
with 79 others injured.
