D’banj revealed to
Beat FM presenters, Olisa Adibua and Maria Okan via telephone today, that Don
Jazzy is currently working on some of his songs.
According to
D’banj: ‘Ten years ago, October 4, 2004 to be precise, I got on stage to
perform for the first time and now ten years later D’banj has become a brand.
Don Jazzy worked with me from the beginning and I can tell you for sure that my
10thanniversary album will drop soon and there are many producers on it,
including Don Jazzy.’ The duo of D'banj and Don Jazzy co-owned Mo'hit records founded in 2004. D’banj was its first recording artist and Don Jazzy was the CEO/President. Other acts on the label include the likes of Wande Coal, Dr SID, D’Prince and K-Switch.
Both went their separate ways in April 2012 and Don Jazzy has since founded Mavin Records while D'banj also owns DB Records.
