A newly elected NFF board was formed on Tuesday when
members of the Executive committee were voted in by delegates in Warri in an
election which was marred by bribery scandals and controversy as chairman of the Electoral committee was whisked away by
security agents
Chris Giwa, who was purportedly
voted in by a section of a defunct NFF board at a hotel in Abuja threatened to
challenge the September 30 elections and by so
doing has re-enacted a FIFA warning on the country’s football
FIFA after congratulating the
newly elected president Amaju Pinnick in a letter sent to the football house,
on Thursday warned that the country stood to be banned if the board was not
allowed to function
