Omoni Oboli Brags About Being A Qualified Movie Director

                                                    Omoni Oboli

Nollywood actress Omoni Oboli says speculations about her competence as a movie director are baseless and irrelevant.

According to her,  the experience she gathered while on movie sets and at the New York Film Academy are enough to qualify her.

I learnt some people asked if I am competent enough to direct a movie; without wanting to join issues with those people, the answer to their question is yes. Not only have I picked up on-the field experience, I also went to one of the best film schools in the world, the New York Film Academy (NYFA) to learn directing specifically.
She described her stay at the school as interesting, and added My lecturers were impressed with my project and I remain one of the few female practitioners in the industry who have gone to the school. If my years of experience and NYFA education dont qualify me, I wonder what will.

Obolis directorial debut, Being Mrs Elliot  was released in Nigerian cinemas in September, and stars her in the lead role along with others like Majid Michel, Ayo Makun, and Lepacious Bose and others.

Boobs Attack: Nicki Minaj Flashes Boobs In Very Revealing Selfie

The rapper hit Twitter to show off her new shorter hairstyle and some major cleavage

Nicki wanted to show off her, uh, wig

Rapper Nicki Minaj couldnt resist showing off her new choppy bob wig with her millions of fans on Sunday.

And when we say new choppy bob, we really mean majorly eye-popping cleavage.

Never one to shy away from flashing her ample assets on social media (or anywhere else for that matter), the Anaconda singer shared not one but two shots of herself in a lace-trimmed black bra with her 9,320, 621 Instagram followers.

Pouting into camera, the 31-year-old was also displaying a short new wig and expertly applied winged eyeliner.
And the second: Oscars wig.

Nickis sexy selfies came after her track with Jessie J and Ariana Grande flew to number one on the UK charts with their single Bang Bang.

The bangin track, excuse the pun, has been a song of the summer around the world, with the stars performing at the MTV Video Music Awards together last month, and has now got some recognition in Jessies home country.
                                          Double woah!

Bang Bang has been scored nearly 100,000 chart sales, and has been streamed over 800,000 times.

Its the first single to be taken from Jessies third album Sweet Talker and is her third number one single, and is her first chart-topper in THREE years. While its Nicki Minajs first taste of the top spot in the UK can you believe that?

We guess sharing a sexy selfie is her way of celebrating, eh?

National Award: President Jonathan Honours Okagbare, 38 Others

2014 Commonwealth Games double gold medalist, Blessing Okagbare and her compatriots who made the nation proud in Glasgow will today be honoured with national awards by President Goodluck Jonathan at the Aso Rock Villa.

Nigerian sportsmen and women gave the country reason to cheer at the Glasgow Games when they finished in eighth position, winning 11 gold, 11 silver and 14 bronze medals, surpassing their former outing in New Delhi, India.

Nigerias Blessing Okagbare celebrates winning the womens 100m athletics event at Hampden Park during the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland on July 28, 2014.

Similarly, members of the national U-17 and a few of the Women U-20 team and their coaches will be honoured by President Goodluck Jonathan tonight. But the man whose NFF regime produced some of the best results in the nations football history, Alhaji Aminu Maigari will be conspicuously missing from the podium.

The former President of the NFF Maigari has been denied the privilege of receiving the  National award which he so much craved for.

It was reported long before now that Maigari had been lined up for the award by President Goodluck Jonathan which informed why they appealed that the impeachment carried out on him be dropped so as not to stain his record.

But investigations have revealed that the Presidency made a U-turn when they noticed that Maigari was more consumed by his desire to remain in NFF than keeping to the agreement reached with him when they met at the Secretary to the Government of Federations office.

The Minister of Sports and chairman, National Sports Commission, Dr Tammy Danagogo had expressed disappointment with the former NFF president when he declared the August 26 Congress open. He blasted Maigari for not being gentlemanly enough, stressing that he flouted every agreement reached with him.

While Maigaris name was missing, several Nigerian sports men and women found their names on the list. And, among those penciled for the award are, Peters Dedebvo who led the Nations U-20 women team to the final of the last FIFA Women world cup in Canada, Manu Garba, who led the Nations U-17 team to win the last U-17 FIFA World Cup in Dubia and several other Nigerians who have done well in recent times.

Keshi Invites Bench Warmers, Ignores Uche

Interim Eagles coach, Stephen Keshi has announced his squad for back to back African Nations qualifiers against Sudan next month.

There are some strange untested new faces in the squad list made public on Friday afternoon, with as many as four players earning call ups for the first time. The coach still ignored inviting Ike Uche.

Striker Sunday Emmanuel, a bench-warmer at Austrian Bundesliga strugglers SV ScholzGrodig, who has 65 minutes of playing time since the start of the season was considered good enough by Stephen Keshi.

Also in line to make his international debut is Ugonna Anyora, a central defender cum defensive midfielder currently on the payroll of Haugesund.

The 23 year old has struggled to earn a starting shirt for his Norwegian team in the current season, having made 11 starts out of a possible 24.

Reading midfielder Hope Akpan and in- form Guangzhou R & F attacker Aaron Samuel will get their chance to don the colours of the Super Eagles for the first time, after they both missed out on the provisional World Cup roster.

There are recalls for Babatunde Michael, Victor Moses and Raheem Lawal while Villarreal striker Ikechukwu Uche remains in the international wilderness after being ignored by Stephen Keshi.

Development, quoted the Governor as saying he was glad that the Golden Eaglets sealed their qualification yet again in Calabar as did their predecessors on their way to winning the 2013 FIFA Under-17 World Cup.

Let me congratulate you on behalf of His Excellency, Governor Liyel Imoke for the wonderful performance you put up this evening (Saturday), said Ugbe who represented the Governor as the Guest of Honour.  The joy for me today, is  that I was here on behalf of His Excellency to watch this wonderful performance and what you have done was to spell Gabon.

He was of the opinion that they would go places in Niger with the same never-say-die spirit and play against their peers without any fear.
