Contrary to some media
reports that former Military President, General Ibrahim Babangida (rtd), was
hospitalised in a Germany for an undisclosed ailment, the former president said
he travelled for a routine medical checkup.
Babangida, who spoke to
THISDAY last night, added that there was nothing strange about his trip, adding
that he would be back in Nigeria on Wednesday.
It was alleged that Babangida
who ruled Nigeria from 1985 to 1993, was hospitalised in a Germany after he was
rushed there 10 days ago from his country home in Minna, the Niger State
capital.
