The stunning new iPhone 6 was
unveiled on Tuesday at a conference in California and the device is quite a
beauty to behold. Here are 10 important details about the phone you need to be
aware of:
1) One of the major upgrades
to the iPhone franchise is the hardware appearance. The iphone 6 will
come in two different screen sizes of 4.7 and 5.5 inches, both with
all-new designs and wit much higher resolution Retina HD displays. Both phones
have more rounded edges which allows for better handling and aesthetics.
2)Weight-wise, the iphone 6
and 6 plus are much lighter than their predecessors. The iphone 6 will weigh
about 6.9-millimeters thin, while the iPhone 6 Plus has a weight of 7.1mm
which is a prominent drop from iPhone 5s’ 7.6mm.
3) The iPhone 6
has enough pixels to make it better than a 720p HD display, and the iPhone 6
Plus has a full 1080p HD display — that’s
more than some next-generation gaming consoles. Both feature a new design with
rounded edges for a seamless touch.
4) The new iPhone boasts of a
new A8 processor that contains two billion transistors and is 25 percent
faster than the previously used A7.
5) Both models will come
in gold, silver and space gray.
6) Both phones will go on
sale as from September 19th all over the world. We expect it to land in Nigeria
soon after the official release date.

boast of an 8 megapixel back camera dubbed the iSight camera inclusive of
a sensor with hybrid face detection autofocus system dubbed “Focus
Pixels.” According to TIME, you can even take “burst
selfies,” with the iPhone 6 able to take up to 10 photos per
second. The camera can shoot videos in crystal clear 1080p.
8) In terms of battery life,
the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus offer better battery span. The battery life of the
iphone 6 could drag small ground with that of the iPhone 5 though. According to
TIME, “It features 10 more hours of audio, and four more
hours of 3G talk. Both have standby battery lives of 10 days.” The
iPhone 6 Plus, however is the king of every Iphone ever made in terms of
battery life. It boasts of 80 hours of audio and 24 hours of 3G talk while its
standby battery lasts for a solid 16 days.
9) Both phones come with an
air pressure sensor that notifies you of how high up you are when elevated.
This helps a great deal especially for those who are into fitness.
10) When they eventually get
to Nigeria, the new Iphones will cost an upwards of N130,ooo.
