Organisers of the prestigious
Yoruba Movies AcademyAwards (YMAA) have called for entries for the 2014 edition
of the awards.
A statement obtained from our source quoted the executive producer of the event, Tunde Laface as
stating that films released or premiered between January to December 2013 would
be accepted for the awards.
According to him, entries for
YMAA 2014 would close on Tuesday, September 30, 2014.
Laface further disclosed that
all movies released by YOVIPMAN, the official marketers and producers
association of Yoruba films in Nigeria, from January to December 2014, as
usual, will get automatic entries for the awards.
He urged Yoruba movie
producers across the world to submit their flicks for entries before the
official YMAA closing date. The respected show promoter also thanked all
stakeholders in the Yoruba film industry for their steadfast and overwhelming
support for YMAA.
YMAA has become an avenue
where practitioners and stakeholders in the Yoruba movie industry are
celebrated like kings and queens. It has also become a yearly celebration of
creativity in the Yoruba movie industry and also propagating the rich Yoruba
culture to the world.
The 2014 edition of the
glamorous awards would hold on Sunday, November 30, 2014 in the State of Osun
(Ipinle Omoluabi).
