The national leader of the
All Progressives Congress, APC, and ex Governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola
Ahmed Tinubu has once again laughed off the rumour that he was flown abroad on
medical grounds.
The former Senator said he
only went to rest in the UK and didn’t even take Panadol
while on vacation.
Tinubu stated this when he
visited the family of the late media guru and associate publisher of
Entertainment and SundayExpress Newspapers, Pastor Dimgba Igwe on Friday.
The politician said those who
have been flying the rumour should not forget that everybody will die one day.
“I am sure this rumour was concocted in an ‘ishi
ewu’ joint. I am wondering if some persons planted poison
in my body that they are expecting me to die. I did my last check-up in April,
and since then I am not sure I have taken even Panadol”.
he said.
Speaking further, the
politician said those who are waiting for him to die should not forget that
everybody would die one day.
“I keep telling people to stop crying wolf where there’s
none because when the wolf finally comes, you wont be able to stand”,
he warned.
On the death of Igwe, he
described him as an intelligent man who was diligent in his work.
In his condolence message,
Tinubu said, “It is unfortunate that we lost such a gem. Igwe is a
friend and was so intellectually gifted. He was patient, deep and had great
intellectual curiosity”.
